Kia ora whānau

A friendly reminder that there will be no school tomorrow (Friday 22 August). This is because staff will be undertaking professional development for the new Mathematics Curriculum. This is a Ministry of Education approved Teachers Only Day.

Board Elections:
Whānau have until Wednesday 10 of September to cast their vote for the five Board representatives. To cast your vote simply complete the paper copy and return to the office in the envelope supplied. All our tamariki are hoping at least 150 parents cast their vote.

School will finish at 2.00pm on Thursday 28 August due to the Teachers and Support Staff Paid Union Meetings: Teachers and Support Staff are currently in negotiations with the Government.
– We will adjust our breaktimes so tamariki still receive 2 hours of learning before and after 12.00pm.
– A number of teachers and support staff will leave school at 1.25pm to attend the meeting at Avon School.
– We will have a skeleton crew of teachers supporting tamariki until 2.00pm.
– If whānau cannot collect their tamariki at 2.00pm, they will be supervised in Room 13.
– The late bus will continue as per normal except it will be located in Room 13.

Daffodil Day: Friday 29 August
Stratford Primary School will be supporting Daffodil Day on Friday 29 August. All tamariki are encouraged to dress up in as much yellow as they can, while bringing along a gold coin donation for this great cause. The Ākonga Council will also share further details about the day closer to the time.
