Next Wednesday, Learning Reports and Individual Education Plans (IEPs) will be going home. This is a great opportunity for parents to engage in learning conversations with their children. I encourage parents to read through the Report/IEP and then think about what to say to your tamariki. Consider what they are doing well and praise them. Ask them questions about what they can work on or their next steps. Together, talk about how they can achieve their goals and what support you can provide them with. Remember, parents (whānau) are the first teachers and have considerable impact on developing  AIM High Learners. 

Build a Business: Next Wednesday evening, Year 7-8 ākonga will be holding their Market Festival. Doors open at 5.30pm until 7.30pm. It would be great if everyone in the community can support this cool event. 

Rippa Rugby + Basketball: Earlier this week our Years 5-6 and 7-8 ākonga competed in the Taranaki Rippa Rugby Tournament in New Plymouth. Our Year 5-6 ākonga won, whilst our Year 7-8 Boys team came second and the Year 7-8 Girls team came fourth. We are proud of the teams and the great manaakitanga shown on and off the field.
Friday 5 July will be the finals of the Year 7-8 Basketball competition. Please come along and support our teams. We wish Alpha, Bravo, Charlie, Giants and the Thunder all the best for the finals.  More information on game times will be sent out on the School App when available.

# Wednesday 3 July: Reports and IEPs go home; Year 5-6 exchange against Bell Block; Build a Business ‘Market Night’ in the School Hall from 5.30 – 7.30pm. 
# Thursday 4 July: Build a Business final sales until 10.30am in the hall; Kapa Haka.
# Friday 5 July: Assembly at 9.15am (All whānau are welcome to attend); Term 2 finishes at 2.35pm. Year 7-8 Basketball finals
# Start of Term 3: Monday 22 July 2024
