Kia ora whānau
The weather is starting to change. Tamariki still need to bring a hat to school until the end of the term. We will be moving in to the Winter Term Hours from the start of Term 2 and until the end of Term 3. This will mean that school finishes at 2.35pm (There will be shorter break times). To support whānau with the earlier finish we offer a ‘Late Bus Class’. This is for whānau who cannot collect their tamariki at 2.35pm due to work commitments. Whaea Aimee (Room 19) will supervise tamariki who are registered for the ‘Late Bus Class’. To register your child/children, please contact the School Office Team by Monday 7 April (Week 11). Please note, names do not carry over from 2024.
Our Year 7-8 ākonga enjoyed their Technology week. The programme has expanded over the years to include more than Technology, which is why we are looking at finding a new name for the programme. Senior ākonga experienced two activities over the week. Over the year, they will experience all eight activities. Some of the learning activities involved using artificial intelligence, designing with the laser cutter, cooking, learning about identifying native trees, and visual art. Look out for the next newsletter which will have some examples of the products ākonga produced.
There will be a School Athletics Day on Wednesday 2 April. The postponement day will be Wednesday 9 April. Further information about the day will be shared in the near future. It would be wonderful to see whānau support this event. Sausage Sizzle Reminders: Forms are to be taken to the school hall between 8.30 and 9am on Thursday 27 and Friday 28 March.

# Friday 28 March: Assembly at 9.15am, all whānau are welcome to attend; Basketball Trials (Yr 7-8).
