Tēnā Koutou Katoa

A reminder that we finish school at 1pm today. 
# NZEI Teachers Members have a Paid Union Meeting starting at 1.30pm at SPS. 
# School is open for instruction but we have a skeleton staff of Non Union Members will be able to supervise tamariki who cannot be collected at this time. 
# Please contact the classroom teacher of your tamariki if you cannot collect them at 1pm. 

Life Education: The Life Education trailer will be with us from next week until the end of the term. I am sure our tamariki will enjoy the various Health Education topics that are being covered by the different teams. 

Basketball: Basketball trials for our Year 7 and 8 ākonga will be held next week for those who indicated their interest in the winter sports survey that went out earlier this term.  If you wish to be able to coach or assist with a team please make sure you are police vetted through the School Office. More information to come.

Athletics: Our ākonga have been practicing various athletic skills over the last few weeks. Next Wednesday 27 March, we will be holding our Athletics Day. We would love to see whānau supporting their tamariki. Please contact the classroom teacher of your tamariki if you able to assist on the day in anyway. 

Week 9: Monday 25 to Friday 29 March
# Monday 25 March: Board Meeting at 5.30pm in the Conference Room; Basketball Trials.
# Tuesday 26 March: Life Education starts
# Wednesday 27 March: Athletics (All whānau are welcome to attend; Weather issues: Keep up to date via Facebook and the School App).
# Thursday 28 March: Kapa Haka (Yr 1-6) Assembly at 9.15am (All Whānau are welcome to attend)
# Friday 29 March: Good Friday – No school.
