Kia ora whānau
We have some exciting news. Last night, Stratford Primary School was awarded the prestigious Ngā Kura/School Award at the Blake Awards.
What are the Blake Awards?
For more than two decades, the Blake Awards have recognised New Zealander’s whose leadership has delivered impact across all walks of life. Now, as we step into our 21st year, the Blake Awards evolve to honour our history while reflecting the future.
From 2025, the Blake Awards will exclusively celebrate environmental leadership – recognising those individuals and groups whose work contributes meaningfully to environmental sustainability, conservation, and a better future for Aotearoa.
This award is for a school/kura making a significant impact with their delivery of environmental education.
Our current S.P.S Tui Leaders, Elliotte Chadwick and Neriah-Joy Te Kawa, as well as Marlene Lewis represented Stratford Primary School with the support of the school Leadership Team and whānau. This award is dedicated to all the past and present S.P.S Tui Leaders, members, as well as whānau, staff and tamariki who have all contributed towards our unique school environment. Special mention must go to Marlene for her leadership, vision and passion in supporting our tamariki over many years.
