Wiki Tuawhitu (Week 7), Term 3, 2026: Next week’s message from Jason Elder.

Kia ora whānau

The weather has started to change, with a mix of sunny and cold days. As we head towards spring, whānau can start reminding their tamariki about being SunSmart. Ākonga can begin bringing a named hat to school in their bag, ready to wear when playing outside on sunny days. Sickness continues to be a challenge. Remember, if your tamariki are unwell, please do not send them to school. This will help reduce the spread of illness to other tamariki and staff.

We have a lot happening over the coming weeks. Next week, we have the Interschool EPro8 Challenge. All the best to our AIMS Games ākonga, who head away next week to compete in Swimming and Rip Rugby. The Central Cross Country is planned for Wednesday 9 September, with the Taranaki Cross Country being held on Wednesday 23 September.

Finally, our Year 7–8 ākonga will be showcasing their Wearable Arts designs. See the attached flyer for further details, as well as the message on the School App.
