  • We are asking for meat donations. Please drop these to the school office.
  • During the week leading up to Whānau Day, tamariki will be asked to contribute vegetables for the hangi. See the notice below for what vegetables each class needs to bring.
  • Hangi Preparation: Please contact the office if you would like to help with preparing the hangi.
  • Hangi tokens: Whānau need a token to receive a portion of hangi on the day. Contact the school office to register to collect a token.
  • Whānau meet in the school hall at 11.30am – sign in, free coffees will be available, senior ākonga will be interviewing whānau with a couple of short questions. There will be a welcome by our Kapa Haka Roopu, Mr Elder (Principal) will then speak followed by a short slide show. Whānau will then have the option to look through their siblings/grandchildren’s classrooms.
  • Hangi: Around 12.30pm, classes will be called to the hall starting with the Juniors. Whānau tag along with their children’s classroom. To receive a portion of hangi whānau must have a token.

Paper Road: The road between the Junior Block and the Swimming Pool is jointly owned by the school and the Stratford District Council. This road is reserved for council staff, school staff, and whānau who hold a valid car park pass. The Principal issues passes to whānau who require assistance and/or whose tamariki have complex needs. All other whānau are not permitted to drive or park on this road. If a parent continues to drive or park on this road without authorisation, the school may issue a trespass notice.
