Kia ora whānau

Open Classrooms – Meet the Teachers:
We are planning short opportunities for whānau to meet their child’s classroom teacher. These meetings will be held in classrooms.
Years 1–2: Monday 2 February at 3.00pm
Years 3–4: Monday 2 February at 3.30pm
Years 5–6: Wednesday 4 February at 3.00pm
Years 7–8: Wednesday 4 February at 3.30pm (Corrected time)
Pōwhiri (welcome) for all new whānau and their tamariki:
When: Monday 2 February
Where: Meet outside the hall entrance with Mr Elder at 10.15am. The welcome will start at approximately 10.30am
What happens: Ākonga and whānau are led into the hall as the Kapa Haka Roopu do a haka. Males sit on the front seats. School leaders will speak in Te Reo before Mr Elder transitions from Te Reo Māori to English, where he welcomes new parents and students into the Stratford Primary School Family. Key messages will then be shared with the whole school before new parents and whānau are offered a drink and biscuit to complete the welcome.

# Contacting Teachers: The best time to meet with teachers is after school when they do not have meetings. To make contact and book a time, connect with teachers after school or send them an email. Teacher email addresses can be found here on the School Website.

# Monday 2 February: Whole school starts at 8.45am; pōwhiri for new whānau time at 10.30am in the school hall — meet outiside the hall entrance at 10.15am. School finishes at 2.55pm. Open Classrooms: 3pm – Year 1-2; 3.30pm – Year 3-4 .
# Tuesday 3 February: Road Patrol Refresher Training.
# Wednesday 4 February: Open Classrooms: 3pm – Year 5-6; 3.30pm – Year 7-8.
# Thursday 5 February: Top Team Day; No School Assembly.
# Friday 6 February: Waitangi Day
