Lots of exciting events have occured over the last week with the Scarecrow Competition, Ki Runga Rawa Challenge, Epro8, High School Transitions, and the Kapa Haka Roopu have been preparing for the Puanga Festival. 

Remember whānau to keep a close connection with school and your child/children’s classroom programme. Follow the SPS Facebook feed and regularly check the School App for important messages. Information can also be found on the school website. https://stratfordprimary.school.nz/

Finally, thank you so much to all the Home and School Committee for organising tonights Quiz Night. Your support is greatly appreciated by the SPS Community. 

Next Week’s Reminders:
– The Dance Project: Whānau, make sure you have contacted the office to get your tickets for the Dance Project. There are no door sales. Remember, we are only asking for a $5 donation. The key message is that everyone needs a ticket for seating and fire reasons. Please contact the office if you have any questions. The viewing times are listed below. 

– Next Friday is the last Ministry of Education Teachers Only Day – Staff will be onsite completing reports. Tamariki do not come to school on this day so enjoy the long weekend. 

– Hats/Drink Bottles are essential everyday. 

Term Dates:
# Monday 31 October: School viewing of the Dance Project; Parent Viewing at the theatre from 6-7.30pm.
# Tuesday 1 November: Dance Project: Matinee Time: 11am – 12.30pm; Evening viewing from 6 – 7.30pm.
# Wednesday 2 November: Dance Project Evening viewing from 6 – 7.30pm.
# Thursday 3 November: Assembly at 2.15pm. Kapa Haka Roopu have their final practice. 
# Friday 4 November: No School.
# Wednesday 9 November: Athletics Day.
# Monday 14 November: NZEI Meeting for teachers. School will finish at 12pm. Further details will come out in the near future.
