Kia ora whānau

We had an excellent review with the Education Review Office (E.R.O). Is was pleasing to note that as a school we have already identified what areas we were performing well in and areas we need to further enhance. This was reaffirmed by the E.R.O Team. The next stage in the process involves a draft report being shared with the Board in about three weeks. Once the final report has been completed, I will share E.R.O’s findings via the school website and newsletter.

Pink Shirt Day is next Friday: Tamariki are encouraged to come to school dressed in Pink. This day is about eliminating all forms of bullying in our society, while we celebrate diversity and promote kindness and inclusion. We would appreciate tamariki bringing along a Gold Coin Donation along to school next Friday and dressing up in as much pink as possible. Senior Ākonga will decide on where the donation funds will be allocated in relation to Mental Wellbeing in our society.

Attendance: Did you know we have an 0800 number to call the school? This costs nothing for parents to use. simply ring 0800-000-352.

Internet Upgrade: Next Tuesday, our school Internet is being upgraded. This may cause issues with the phone lines as they rely on the Internet. We are unsure how long this disruption will occur for. Parents can still email, text via the School App or ring the 0800 number to contact the school during this time. Any urgent information will also be shared via the School App and Facebook.

# Monday 12 May: SENCO IEP Meetings.
# Tuesday 13 May: N4L Upgrade – We may have no Internet e.g. phone lines.
# Thursday 15 May: Kapa Haka; St Johns First Aid Courses; Road Patrol refresher training.
# Friday 16 May: Assembly at 9.15am, all whānau are welcome to attend; SENCO IEP Meetings; Yr 5-6 Rippa Rugby; Yr 7-8 Basketball after school.
