Here are important reminders for whānau:
# Pink Shirt Day is next Thursday for SPS: Tamariki are encouraged to come to school dressed in Pink. This day is about eliminating all forms of bullying in our society, while we celebrate diversity and promote kindness and inclusion. We would appreciate tamariki bringing along a Gold Coin Donation. Senior Ākonga will decide on where the donation funds will be allocated in relation to Mental Wellbeing in our society. Please note, we are holding this day one day earlier than the National Pink Shirt Day as we have the Television Show What Now filming in the school hall.
# Attendance Changes from the Government: The Government has raised expectations around attendance. This falls into line with what we already expect at Stratford Primary School. Please support your tamariki by getting to school on time and regularly. The expectation is that tamariki are at school for 9 out of every 10 days.
# Winter Clothing/Change: Please ensure tamariki have suitable clothing for the cold mornings. This must include shoes and socks and a warm jacket that are all named! Whānau should also include spare clothes if they get wet when playing (e.g. spare socks and shorts).
