    Tēnā Koutou Katoa

    We have one week to go before the school holidays. Here are the important reminders for whānāu:

    • Daylight Savings changes this weekend: Support your tamariki with adjusted bedtime routines.
    • Winter Term (Term 2 and 3) starts next term on the first day: School starts at the normal time of 8.45am; School finishes at the earlier time of 2.35pm. We offer supervision from 2.35pm until just after 3pm in Room 2 with Mr Zeylemaker for whānau who have work committments. This is called the Late Bus Class. Contact the office to book a place for your tamariki. 
    • Winter Weather: The weather has started to change. Please ensure tamariki come to school dressed for the weather. This includes, shoes, socks and a warm jersey/jacket. Question: Have you named your child’s clothing?
    • Lost Property: Next week, whānau are welcome to pop into the school hall before and after school to check lost property. This will be displayed until Wednesday. All lost property can then be found by the side door of the school hall. Any left over lost property will be removed at the end of the term. 
    • Individual Education Plans (IEP Meetings): We will be holding our first IEP meetings on the Friday before school starts. All whānau who have a meeting will or have been contacted. Further IEPs will occur through the early part of Term 2. 
    • Winter Sports starts next term: Have you registered your tamariki with a sports club? If you have any questions contact the school office. 
    • Kapa Haka Roopu starts next term: Tamariki will have the option to join the Kapa Haka Roopu next term. Sessions go from 11.40am to 1pm every Thursday. In Term 3, the tamariki will be selected to prepare for the Paunga Festival in early Term 4. 

    Week 11: Monday 8 to Friday 12 April
    # Monday 8 April: Life Education.
    # Tuesday 9 April: Life Education.
    # Wednesday 10 April: Life Education; Vision and Hearing Testing (Yr 1-2 and Yr 7-8). 
    # Thursday 11 April: Life Education; ANZAC Assembly at 12.30pm. 
    # Friday 12 April: Assembly at 9.15am (All Whānau are welcome to attend); Life Education. 

    Week 1, Term 2: Monday 29 April
    # School starts at 8.45am
    # School finishes at 2.35pm – Winter Term hours continue for all of Term 2 and Term 3.
