Thank you to all of our whānau who supported the opening of the Book Fair. We had over 70 parents, grandparents, aunties, uncles, and family members attend the welcome led by our Kapa Haka Tuakana Roopu. Before the welcome, our Year 5-6 Leaders asked Whānau to complete a short survey around future parent education with regards to Writing and Mathematics. The Home and School are also looking for more parents to join this fun group helping to raise funds for our tamariki.

All the proceeds from the Book Fair sales go towards purchasing new books for the School Library. 

Book Fair Times are:
# Thursday 12 September until Tuesday 24 September
# Open before school (From Friday 13 September) until 8.45am
# Open during lunchtimes from 1- 1.20pm
# Open after school from 2.30-3.30pm (Until Monday 23 September).  

Māori Language Week:
Next week, we will be celebrating Māori Language Week. Our ākonga will be doing a lot of cool things, they have been learning Te Reo in the classrooms all year.  Next week will be encouraging the use of Te Reo even more. Please read the attached flyer regarding Ahitahi Day on 21 September 2024. 

Classroom Placements for 2025:
The process for organising classroom placements for ākonga in 2025, begins at the end of this term. If whānau have a specific consideration they would like the Leadership Team to discuss, send your email to the appropriate person. Please note, not all considerations of the child can be accommodated through the complex nature of organising 17 classrooms. Whānau can email to:

# Monday 16 September: Māori Language Week; Book Fair.
# Tuesday 17 September: Firefighters visit (Junior Team); Book Fair. 
# Wednesday 18 September: Kapa Haka Tuakana will be at the Kapa Haka Festival 10 – 2pm; Book Fair.
# Thursday 19 September: Year 8 Vaccinations; Book Fair. 
# Friday 20 September: Assembly at 9.15am (All whānau are welcome to attend); Book Fair; Home and School Movie Night (Yr 1-4 at 4pm; Yr 5-8 at 6pm).
