A massive thank you to everyone who supported the Scholastic Book Fair. Sales reached over $6000, with the school receiving over $2000 to purchase books for the library.
Next week we celebrate Māori Language week. At Te Kura Tuatahi o Whakaahurangi (Stratford Primary School), we celebrate Māori language every week through waiata (songs), karakia (connection), using Te reo Māori in the classrooms/assembly, and when we welcome visitors. Tough Guy Challenge: Yr 7-8
Forms went home earlier this week. All completed forms must be handed in by Wednesday 13 September to attend this event. Please contact the School Office if you have any questions.

Have your say: SPS Questionnaire
The questionnaire will remain open over the weekend. So far we have had 202 parents complete the survey out of 285 families, which is an awesome achievement. Pai rawa (well done) whānau. Click here to complete the survey. Survey results will be shared with the community. For example, whānau rate SPS as being 4.4 out of 5 in terms of their tamariki feeling safe at school.
The Summer Term begins next term:
# School will finish at 2.55pm from the start of Term 4 (Monday 9 October)
# All tamariki need to bring a hat to school and a drink bottle as the weather begins to get warmer
# We encourage tamariki to wear sunscreen. Teachers have sunscreen in the classroom for those tamariki who forget to bring their sunscreen to school.
# Break times will be changed to two 30 minute blocks. This will not affect the start and end of the day times.

# Monday 11 September: Tech Week for Yr 7-8; Board Meeting from 5.30pm in the Conference Room
# Tuesday 12 September: Tech Week for Yr 7-8
# Wednesday 13 September: Tech Week for Yr 7-8
# Thursday 14 September: Tech Week for Yr 7-8; Kapa Haka; (Yr 1-6)
# Friday 15 September: Assembly at 9.15am (All whānau are welcome); Yr 7-8 Tough Guy Challenge (am); Yr 7-8 Rugby with TRFU (pm)
