Kia ora whānau

Just a friendly reminder that there is no school tomorrow (Friday – Matariki) and Monday (Teachers Only Day). Next Friday is also the last day of Term 2. Term 3 starts on Monday 14 July at 8.45am. Please note that we will still be in Winter Hours for Term 3.

  • 8.45am – School starts
  • 2.35pm – School finishes.

Build a Business is on tonight from 5.30 -7.30pm in the school hall: Our Senior Ākonga are looking forward to selling their products tonight. All profits go towards the Year 7-8 Big Day out at the end of the year. Remember to come with small denominations of cash to purchase products.

Sports Updates: Next week, our Year 5-6 ākonga are trying to play their sports exchange games against Bell Block and Oakura. Hopefully the weather works in their favour.

Term 3 Parent Interviews: Early next term, we will be holding Parent Interviews. School will finish at 2pm on these days. Watch out for further information, which will be shared on the School App. Stratford High School Interviews will also be held at this time for our Year 8 ākonga. They will have two interviews, both of which will be held at Stratford Primary School (One with their classroom teacher and one to enrol at Stratford High School).

  • Week 2: Thursday 24 July –> school finishes at 2pm for Parent Interviews.
  • Week 3: Thursday 31 July –> school finishes at 2pm for Parent Interviews.

Matariki Celebration: Tomorrow is Matariki. In Taranaki, we celebrate Puanga. To find out more and about the difference between both days, check out next week’s newsletter. There will also be some cool photos from around the school of how classes celebrated this special event.

# Monday 23 June: No School – Mathematics Teachers Only Day.
# Tuesday 24 June: Yr 5-6 Sports Exchange v Bell Block (Away).
# Wednesday 25 June: Ākonga Council Hui; Yr 5-6 Sports Exchange v Oakura (Home).
# Thursday 26 June: Kapa Haka.
# Friday 27 June: Assembly at 9.15am, all whānau are welcome to attend; Yr 7-8 – Basketball Finals after school.
