Tuesday 15 March 2022: Covid-19 Update from Jason Elder
Kia Ora Whānau
At the time of writing this message we have 24 students and 2 staff members who are sick. Most cases have come from Household Contacts. We also have 4 teachers who are self isolating.
As an AIM High Learner, one of our values is to be resilient. Whānau can be really proud of how our tamariki are coping with the current outbreak. Despite these challenges, our tamariki have been amazing. Whānau have also been awesome at keeping the school informed and staying calm. Ka pai.
We are starting to experience staffing shortages due to Household Contacts. As a result, one of the Senior Classes has started Home Learning until next Wednesday. Parents of the class have been contacted. Tamariki who cannot learn from home will still have the option to come to school and learn in one of the other Senior Classes.
If parents have questions please feel free to ring me directly or contact your classroom teacher.
For updates around Covid cases, please inform the office ASAP. Please provide the day your child first felt unwell and the day of their positive test. This can be communicated via email, the school app or a phone call.
