Last year, as a school we had great success in raising  some students progress with writing and mathematics.  Teachers worked closely to raise the achievement of  students who were just below their year level (From Year  3-8). Some of the strategies included:

● Learners (students) working with teachers to  know their writing goals

● Learners highlighting their work where they had  achieved their goal in their draft writing books

● Teachers spending extra time with learners in  mathematics so they received math twice in one  day

● Teams of teachers working closely to better  understand how they can support these  students, while also applying the same strategies  to every student.
