The SPS Teaching Team are back at school this week preparing for the first term. Here are a couple of reminders to support whānau and their tamariki get ready for school.
Goal Setting Meetings will be held on Monday 30 January. To book your time see the previous messages that were sent home. This information is also available on our school app and the school website. This includes details on how to register for the Goal Setting meeting and stationery lists for each team.
Normal classes start on Tuesday 31 January at 8.45am: We welcome any new whānau to join the school at 9.30am for a powhiri as we welcome new tamariki, whānau and staff into our SPS Family.
Anxious tamariki: If your son/daughter is nervous about school, contact their classroom teacher to make a time this Friday to pop into school. To contact teachers email them here.
School Lunches: Stratford Primary School is part of the School Lunch Programme. The school lunches programme starts on Tuesday 31 January for tamariki who were at Stratford Primary School last year and registered on the programme. Note: New tamariki who are just starting at SPS and have registered for the Lunch Programme, should receive their school lunch in Week 2 or 3. Please note that this will be confirmed on Friday 27 January 2023.
Weekly Messages and School Newsletters: Every week Mr Elder will send out a weekly message, this message has up to date information. Starting on week 1 of the Term Mr Elder will send out the fortnightly school newsletter, both of which are available on the School App and the School Website. If you know of any whānau who are having issues downloading the app or the ability to connect to the internet to view these, please ask them to make contact with us. We are able to print out hard copies of newsletters if required.
Term Dates:
# Monday 23 January: Office open from 9 – 12pm
# Tuesday 24 January: Office open from 9 – 12pm
# Thursday 26 January: Out of Zone Enrolments for Term 1 close.
Week 1:
# Monday 30 January: Goal Setting Day
# Tuesday 31 January: All tamariki start school at 8.45am; School finishes at 2.55pm
– All new tamariki, whānau and new staff will be welcomed to Stratford Primary School at around 9.30am in the school hall.
# Friday 3 February: School Assembly at 9.15am – all whānau are welcome to attend; Top Team Day.
