I hope everyone has a safe and enjoyable Easter Weekend and School Holidays. Remember, next term we start on Wednesday 26 April. It would be great if all our tamariki could take part in  ANZAC Day commemorations on Tuesday 25 April. 

Key Reminders for Tamariki and Whānau:
# Staffing Updates: We wish Mr Elder all the best for his sabbatical in Term 2 and look forward to his return at the start of Term 3. We welcome Ms Tara Gray who will be supporting Room 2 and Room 13, when Mr Jacob and Mrs Rova are released to support the Leadership Team. 

# Winter Term starts on the first day next term:  Next term, we will move to the Winter Term at the beginning of Term 2. This means school finishes at 2.35pm for Term 2 and Term 3. The school offers a ‘Late Bus Class’. This is where ākonga are supervised with a teacher from 2.35 – 2.55pm if whānau are struggling to pick up their tamariki at 2.35pm due to work. If you would like you tamariki added to the ‘Late Bus Class’, please contact the Office Team. This list needs to be finalised before Monday 3 April (last week of Term 1).

# Unwell Tamariki:  Any unwell Tamariki should be kept at home.  If you send an unwell child to school, you will be called to collect them.  To stop sickness from spreading, it is important for you to keep your child home when they are ill and not send them to school.  We have noticed that students are returning to school too soon and passing bugs on to other students and staff. Please show courtesy to other whānau by making the necessary arrangements to ensure students are back to full health before returning to school, especially with tummy bugs. Students that have had vomiting and/or diarrhoea need to be kept at home for at least 48 hours from the last time they were sick. Remember to contact the office for any absence, several ways in which you can do this are:- via the school app, ringing the school office, via the school website or our 0800 number 0800 000352.

# Wednesday 26 April: School term starts, Winter Term Hours; Room 1 TOPEC River Safety Education

# Friday 28 April: School Assembly at 9.15am.
