Term 3, 2022 Update:

Kia ora koutou,

We hope you have had an enjoyable mid-year break and looking forward to the start of Term 3 next week.

Please find attached the Healthy School Lunches menu which covers Week 1 and Week 2 of Term 3 (25th July – 05th August). We have some exciting changes introduced in this menu update which we are also confident your students will enjoy as we have trialled and adapted the dishes based on feedback collected during the past term. In the next few days we will be sharing an revised menu grid for Week 1 – 4, which will begin on Week 3 (8th August) and replaces the grid we are sending today. Apologies for any inconvenience caused by this however, to remain compliant we had to reconfigure a few of the snacks and accompaniments.

Please note – we have once again provided a Junior version of the menu as well as a Senior version of the menu. The only difference is the inclusion of fun pictures on the Junior menu however, please feel free to use either for your students.

At the end of Term 2, we engaged with 12 schools from 3 regions  – a mix of Primary, Intermediate and High school – and received feedback from over 85 students on each of the 11 menu items we sampled – in total we sent out over 300 meals to be shared by the survey students.

A big thank you to those schools who were asked to assist in the sampling of the new menu trial items last term – this is incredibly  valuable feedback to have. We do try and include a variety of schools when sampling any of the new menu items or packaging and our apologies if we have not yet had the opportunity to do this with your school and students as yet. Below is some representative scoring of the new items sampled and the changes we could action for use on the Term 3 menu. You will also find a high level summary of the feedback attached along with some great commentary highlights.
